In Baseball America’s most recently release MLB Draft report card, the magazine tabbed  IMG Baseball Academy alum J.R. Murphy as the Yankees’ “Best Pure Hitter” from the 2009 draft.
Picked in the 2nd round by the Yankees, Murphy batted .333 (11-for-33) with 7 RBI in 9 games for the Gulf Coast League Yankees.
