IMG Academies recently took full ownership of IMG Academies Golf & Country Club, formerly known as El Conquistador Country Club. The acquisition reflects on the dedication IMG Academies has for its renowned Leadbetter Golf program as well as dedication to maintaining facilities of the highest quality for future generations.
Twelve IMG Leadbetter Golfers traveled to Texas over the weekend to compete in a Legends Junior Tour event. The Texas Cup Invitational featured 78 players from nine countries (United States, Canada, Thailand, Hungary, China, Japan, Ireland, Taiwan and Scotland) and four states (Texas, Florida, Michigan and Indiana). During the two-week evaluation period, all the Leadbetter golf students will be tested on the Trackman launch monitor. We are recording their ball speed, veritcal launch, spin, smash, carry, side spin, club head speed and club path. Over the year we will re-test numerous times to guage the students progress.

Victoria Tanco beat Kendall Martindale in Thursday’s morning match 5 & 4 at the U.S. Girls Jr. being held at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, NJ. Victoria won the first hole of the match and never looked back closing the match out on hole 14.
Victoria will now face Karen Chung in today’s afternoon match.
