Nick Bollettieri
Nick Bollettieri may have coached some of the greatest names in tennis – from Andre Agassi to Serena Williams and many more – but he still takes time to get involved in adult instruction.
Bollettieri and several other IMG Bollettieri Tennis Academy coaches spent time on Wednesday at the Indoor Tennis Facility working with the group of 18 or so students. Player’s worked on all facets of their game, moving from court-to-court and station-to-station, receiving instruction from the top coaches in tennis.
“Its a unique experience and one I won’t soon forget,” said one participant. “I enjoyed having the opportunity to work with the top coach in tennis, Nick Bollettieri.”
Bollettieri seemed to enjoy it as well, spending time with each individual addressing their specific game. He changed a few grips, lengthened a few follow-throughs, providing each player with things to work on the rest of the week and going forward. Bollettieri finished by addressing the group as a whole, explaining his approach to coaching adults vs juniors, sharing fitness tips that have helped him stay in condition, and sharing stories about his life.
If there is one thing for certain about Nick Bollettieri it is that he takes coaching very seriously and enjoys sharing his knowledge of the game with all. There is little doubt, then, why the IMG Bollettieri Tennis Academy is considered the top tennis training facility in the world.
