Gianluigi Quinzi

Gianluigi Quinzi, a fifteen-year-old student at the IMG Bollettieri Tennis Academy, broke into the top-10 of the ITF Junior World Rankings this week. The young Italian won the singles and doubles titles in back-to-back weeks, at the ITF G1 in Manta, Ecuador and the ITF G2 in Barranquilla, Colombia. The wins catapulted him to #6 in the rankings, making him the youngest player in the top-10.

Quinzi first arrived at IMG Academies at the age of 8 and it remains his training site as he looks to develop into a strong Italian presence in the men’s game.

More on Quinzi’s 2012 season can be found on the ITF website.
