The IMG Soccer Academy/Bradenton Academics will kick off its 2009 United Soccer Leagues’ Premier Development League season by hosting the Nashville Metros at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
The PDL features some of the top college-age talent on nearly 70 teams scattered across the country. The league also cultivates future professionals, as IMG’s PDL team alone has produced dozens of future professionals.
This season, the IMG team has a distinct international flavor, with players representing 10 countries. Thirteen of the players are graduates of the IMG Soccer Academy.
