Senior Instructors Kevin Collins, Andrew Oliphant and Larry Marshall traveled to Bogota, Colombia this week to present a three-day seminar to golf instructors as part of the Colombian Golf Federation.

During the three days, the three instructors presented different themes and topics that were aimed to educate, improve and continue to develop the teaching of the golf in Colombia.   The 3-day course proved to once again be a complete success and the 109 participants enjoyed the presentations and instruction given.

The main themes over the three days included developing a plan/blueprint for the student, how to effectively use the V1 software for video analysis, the most common faults and fixes and how to correct them through use of drills.  Short game was also covered as well as question and answers from the panel of students.

The coaches were also able to take part in watching and interacting with young juniors participating in the 2009 National Championship Prejuvenil and Youthful “Cup Arturo Silence”.  While there they also gave a clinic to the junior participants.

The David Leadbetter Golf Academy at IMG Academies would like to thank the Colombian Golf Federation, Monica Tomayo (a member of the Federation) and Gladys de Loaiza for making us a part of this great event.  We value the relationship we have formed with the Federation over the years and look forward to our continued involvement.
