In preparation for the upcoming European clay court season, including the French Open starting May 24, Serena Williams today arrived at the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy/IMG Academies to train with Nick on the campus’ clay courts.
“I’ve known Nick since I was 10 years old,” she said. “He’s always been a great person and a help for my game.”
Williams, who is ranked No. 2 in the world, wants to again find the magic on clay that led her to a French Open singles title in 2002. Meanwhile, the energy on the IMG campus gave her a spark for training.
“It’s exciting,” she said. “We didn’t have anything like when I was growing up. There are going to be some great champions coming out of here in the future.”

work it out girl
Just do it Serena!
Serena Jameka Williams will be number One again.
Serena, it’s so great seeing you taking steps to conquer that red clay. I hope and pray you win Roland Garros 2009!!!
That right work it girl. America needs you to bring that French title home one more time.
Despite her suspect play of late on the Clay so far this year (losing first round in each of the Clay tournaments that she has entered so far this year) Serena Williams is in my opinion the only Woman on the WTA Tour able to truly capture all four Grand Slams as long as her career persists, Venus Williams is another story however!
